WINTER VISITORS CARD

Winter scene featuring eight species of birds that live year-round in the boreal forest of interior Alaska where daylight lasts just a few hours each day and winter temperatures often drop below -40° F. The pictured birds visit feeders in the far north and in much of the Rocky Mountain Mountain range: Gray Jay, Downy Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Pine Grosbeak, Hoary and Common Redpoll, Black-capped Chickadee, Boreal Chickadee.
