CLASS: Colorado Birding For Beginners

Have you always wanted to learn more about our local Colorado birds?  What species are around here?  How and where can you find them? How can you figure out what bird you are seeing or hearing?  Join Susan Quinlan and Bud Lehnhausen this May as they share their photos, knowledge and experiences to kick-start your interest in birds and possibly inspire you to begin a lifetime of birding adventures.

Through a series of interactive slide-illustrated presentations, attendees will begin learning to recognize the silhouettes of common bird groups and become more familiar with several local species in each group. Delight in lots of fun facts about local birds while you begin developing and practicing the observation skills needed to identify a variety of bird species.  Discover useful birding resources, (including books and apps), how to use binoculars, learn about some local places to go birding, and field techniques to increase your odds of finding a variety of birds.

Four presentation/class sessions included: 10 am - 12pm, Saturday May 2, 9, 16, and 23

Presented at the Northern Colorado Artist Community (NOCOAC) building, 3121 Kintzley Ct. Unit A, Laporte, CO  80535
